The Problem
The idea for Walkies started from a personal need- as a dog owner, I struggled to feel fully confident when someone else was walking my dog.
Most existing apps were overloaded with features and lacked focus, often trying to serve too many purposes at once.
I saw a clear need for a solution that offers simplicity, transparency, and control- designed specifically around the real relationship between dog owners and their pets.
The Research
I explored the emotional world of dog owners, analyzed competing apps, and listened closely to users' real needs, habits, and concerns.
This research helped me define key values like trust, clarity, and ease forming the foundation for a user experience that feels tailored and intuitive.

Focused, not overloaded
Instead of offering many services, the app focuses only on dog walking for daily use and emergencies keeping the interface clean and simple.
Emotional design
A clear visual language and playful illustrations create an inviting experience that feels like stepping into a Pixar-style world.
Solution
After identifying users key needs and the gaps in existing apps, I created Walkies- a simple, visual, and accessible app designed to give dog owners a sense of trust, clarity, and control.
The app focuses entirely on dog walks, with a friendly interface that speaks the users' language.

Reflection
What began as a small idea from my own experience as a dog owner grew into a full design journey.
At every stage- research, ideation, and design, I deepened my understanding of what truly matters and how to turn real needs into a precise, meaningful user experience.
My favorite part was the research and the conversations with other dog owners, when I listened to their needs and turned those insights into truly useful and caring features.
In the design process, I aimed for more than just a beautiful interface. I wanted it to be intuitive, clear, and communicate with all types of users, balancing functionality, aesthetics, and experience.
This project reminded me that great user experience is not a luxury, but the foundation of a product that works and stays with people over time.
